From our inception, In Mulieribus' mission statement has included both an artistic and philanthropic component. A portion of every concert proceeds will go to benefit various non-profit organizations that serve our community, particularly women and children in need.

For the 2009-10 Season, In Mulieribus is proud to partner with Sisters of the Road, an organization that exists to build authentic relationships and cross-class community through our philosophies of nonviolence, gentle personalism and the community organizing model. Sisters works toward systemic solutions that reach the roots of homelessness and poverty to end them forever. All proceeds from this season will benefit Sisters of the Road.

Past beneficiaries have included:

Cares Northwest - A medically-based child abuse assessment and intervention program that puts children first.

Loaves and Fish - An organization that provides hot, nutritious meals to seniors 60 years and older.

Portland Impact - Portland Impact's mission is to help people achieve and maintain self-sufficiency and to prevent and alleviate the effects of poverty.

Rose Haven - A community and intervention center for homeless women and their children in downtown Portland that provides a safe place to explore options that promote wholeness and self-empowerment.

YWCA of Greater Portland. The YWCA strives to eliminate racism and discrimination in all its forms, and provides growth, education and leadership opportunities for women and families.

Stay tuned for more information about which organizations we will partner with in the months ahead.
